Sorry, Sully, But The Jonas Brothers Actually Came First

The Jonas Brothers (Real and South Park versions)

Andrew Sullivan—lamenting Rolling Stone’s slide into irrelevancy and smelling desperation—shakes his head at the cast of Gossip Girl landing a cover piece on the magazine, wondering aloud if The Jonas Brothers are next.

Well Sully, I hate to break it to you, but Rolling Stone already went there—in August of 2008. So consider that shark jumped. Both the Gossip Girl and Jonas Brothers profiles were penned by Deputy Editor Jason Gay, leading me to wonder aloud if Jason is actually a 14 year-old girl.

But this whole dustup is just an excuse for me to embed a clip from the hilarious South Park season premiere that aired a couple weeks back, where the mystery of The Jonas Brothers’ popularity was finally laid bare.
